Age Group Elite

Qualifying Standards

  • All 5150 events will have an Age Group Elite category.
  • To be eligible for the Age Group Elite category, athletes must furnish proof of completing an international distance event (1.5k swim, 40k bike, 10k run) during 2010 or 2011, with a time below 2:15 for men and below 2:30 for women.
  • Top 10 in Age Group Elite category at each of the 5150 qualifying events, qualifies for the Age Group Elite category for the Hy-Vee Triathlon 5150 U.S. Championship.
  • Age Group Elites at the Championship event will be the recipient of a Mini Cooper + $5,150 in additional product/prizes.

  • 1st Place: New car* + $5,150 in product/prizes
  • 2nd Place: $4,000 in product/prizes
  • 3rd Place: $3,000 in product/prizes
  • 4th Place: $2,000 in product/prizes
  • 5th Place: $1,000 in product/prizes

*Only U.S. citizens are eligible to win the car.
